After-school Enrichment STEM Program For Youth
STEM classes and workshop for youth aims to develop the student’s critical thinking, problem solving skills, creativity and build self-esteem. However, having a good STEM education usually means having to pay expensive fees. Here at STEMPaths Learning Labs, we provide quality and affordable enrichment and academic workshops featuring STEM programming and youth leadership development skills for youth.
STEMPaths Learning Labs offers an extensive STEM classes and workshop for youths. Housed in our state-of-the-art Learning Lab, students will experience Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through fun and engaging projects and developmentally appropriate activities. Our programs foster creativity, problem-solving and collaboration while building self-esteem and confidence in the STEM subjects. STEMPaths Learning Labs offer classes in 3D Printing and Arts, designing 2D illustration arts, puzzle break – enhance problem solving skills, minecraft workshop and introduction to robotics using lego v3.
What is STEM?
Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or STEM is important to our lives. It is the key to our future – our country’s future and our children’s future. Science is everywhere around us – our world! Technology is continuously improving our lives and is always innovating. Engineering enables us to build bridges, buildings, houses and even roads. Mathematics is an important aspect of every industry – from school to work – there is MATH! By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in a STEM field.
Future of STEM
According to the research done by the Office of the Chief Economist (OCE) states that STEM occupations grew much faster than non-STEM occupations and that STEM workers earn higher wages than non-STEM workers. STEM workers play a key role in the US economy and it is critical for the US economy to stay on the top. When there are no STEM workers, the US economy will continue to fall behind. Having a solid foundation on STEM-based fields creates the opportunity to sustain the economy. STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. However, enrolling at a STEM class usually involves expensive fees.
